Yes! All MSI luxury vinyl plank flooring in our collection is 100% waterproof with a rigid SPC core. This makes LVP ideal for kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, and basements. The waterproof core prevents moisture damage, warping, and mold growth even in high-humidity environments.
How many boxes of flooring do I need?
Measure your room's length and width in feet, multiply to get square footage, then add 10% for waste. Divide the total by 22 (sqft per box) and round up. For example, a 12x15 ft room = 180 sqft + 18 sqft waste = 198 sqft, which needs 9 boxes. Use our flooring calculator for exact numbers.
Can I install LVP over existing flooring?
In many cases, yes. LVP can be installed over existing hard surfaces like tile, concrete, and hardwood as long as the subfloor is level (within 3/16" per 10 feet), clean, and structurally sound. It should NOT be installed over carpet. Our click-lock LVP is designed for easy floating installation without glue.
